About Dr. Monica Ross
Monica Ross, DPT, CMPT, is a proficient and caring physical therapist on the team of skilled providers at Ross Medical Group in Miami.
Dr. Ross graduated from Saint Louis University in Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and physiology and an emphasis on fitness and exercise. She stayed at Saint Louis University as a Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in an accelerated six-year program at the Doisy College of Health Sciences.
Dr. Ross also spent time working and studying at the University of Miami in Florida. She completed the requirements for a minor in psychology and worked in partnership with the Miller School of Medicine Department of Orthopedics on a research project that demonstrated the benefits of physical therapy and exercise in pathological spines and in the aftermath of spine surgery.
Dr. Ross is proficient in a wide range of skills and has a number of different certifications. She has a certification in basic life support from the American Physical Therapy Association, through whom she’s also a credentialed clinical instructor. She is also a certified manual physical therapist through the Florida Institute for Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, where she’s trained extensively in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and kinetic taping techniques for the spine and extremities.
